I am sorry to bring the post back again…but i came across another IL 18 operator…Daallo Airlines, registered in Djibouti but based in Dubai.

Its definitely nice to look at, but its not for the passenger who is used to being in relatively noise-free cabins.

Actually there is a domestic airline in Sri Lanka called Air Lanka which flies the ‘Coot.’

I think one or two CIS carriers still use IL18 on domestic routes.I am pretty sure that the only national carrier still using them on passenger routes is Air Koryo out of Pyongyang.

True not many windows. This was the machine that I flew on to TIA. The interior was good but the lack of windows was compensated by very bright strip lighting which I seem to remember dimmed alot as the aircraft was on start up-still a thrill to fly on!
