FYI
Report in the Toronto Star today says that Air Canada may be seeking big layoffs to warn off protection from it’s creditors. Competition from no-frills carriers, potential fuel hikes (war with Iraq) and heavier than expected losses in the fourth quarter. However, apparently flight attendants have layoff protection until 2004/2005, which means protection may be unavoidable.

RE: Air Canada in trouble
A shame to hear that. Another major airline that could flop to the ground. United Airlines layed off 740 flight attendents today.
