Excel Airways 757?

Does anyone know anything about Excel Airways taking delivery of a pair of 757-200’s next summer as part of some kind of agreement from Air Atlanta Iceland?

I think the two bird are to be ex-Air 2000 machines G-OOOV and G-OOOW.

Would be greatful if you guys could help,

Cheers,

LGKR

I’m just curious to know who owns Astraeus, an established airline or a travel company? or are they just a private company? they seemed to have popped up out of the blue this year.

RE: Excel Airways 757?

I had heard that Excel were looking at getting their own 767’s to bring the operation fully in-house.
There was also a rumour of Astraeus getting 767’s to try to win the prized Kuoni contract.

Two of them are ex-Britannia, but all three are leased from Air Atlanta.

Just out of curiosity, where do the 767-200s come from? Is it Air Atlanta?

RE: Excel Airways 757?

last known were that ABD had got the a/c and were gonna keep em for ad-hoc as the 767s and 747s were too big for the likes of subs for 737s/A320s – will seek info 4 ya tho!
