Who?! N49RF, nicknamed ‘Gonzo’ is a hurricane chasing plane belonging to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration not seen too often. It has a range of 4000 nm and a cruising altitude of 45,000 feet. It is equipped with a tail Doppler radar and the ability to deploy weather data gathering probes whilst in flight.

The probable reason it isn’t seen too often is NOAA doesn’t want to explaining why they bought a very expensive, top of the line, bizjet.
And airliners.net notes it has received a couple of (again presumably expensive) paint schemes.
