News has emerged concerning the future activities of Portsmouth Naval Gliding Club. They do not any more have a future. They have been closed by Fareham Council. Gliding will cease at Lee on the 31st May.
My understanding is that Fareham B.C. presented PNGC with a fait accompli in the shape of eviction from their hangars coupled with a massive rent increase.

I suggested Thorney Isl. much under used at present. PNGC were told; not available. Suggested Parham, near Worthing – bit of a distance. Perhaps Lasham ? Again, distance.
Anyone know if Bembridge gliding is still operating ?

Heard from the Hon. Sec. of the PNGC. They are trying to find an alternative suitable site. Please contact them if you have any ideas.
