An airplane was reported crashed in the county of Østfold in southern Norway on Sunday afternoon. The police sent ambulances and even a paramedic helicopter. What they found was a crashed R/C model.. 😀
It has been uncovered at the Air Traffic Controllers at OSL turn off the collision alarm during heavy snowfall. This is bechause the system is so sensitive it makes false alarms, thinking the snow falling over the runways are aircraft!
Ryan Air have signed an agreement with Ørland Airport outside of Trondheim in central Norway. They are looking to start flights to London. There are no budget carriers operating abroad from this part of the country.
Good Jet has been saved from bankruptcy by a dutch investment company called MCI Group. The Rotterdam based company is looking to invest around 40 million pounds to keep the airline in the air.
And finally, new information has revealed that the crash of a Wideroe twin otter in arctic Norway in 1982 may have been caused by British fighter aircraft. The Norwegian airforce have denied this, but now it turns out that more than 30 eye witnesses saw a fighter fly at extremely low alititude and high speed thru the area at the time of the crash. There was a military excercise not far from the area at the time, but there should not have been any military aircraft there at that time… Maybe the fighter was evading the ATC radars?
Thats all the news for now folks 🙂
