Sheffield City

Hi Guys!

I was just wondering what has happened to Sheffield City Airport? I know that BA has pulled out and is no longer operating it’s daily flights to EGAC, but has the airport also actually closed or is someone planning to come in and restart scheduled operations.

It’s a pitty that they built such a restricted facility. The airport really needs a bigger terminal and a longer runway. I’ve just been acepted to turn my dream into reality and become an airline pilot and I was hoping to do my cross country (Single engine) to EGSY, but then I discovered that it also has banned single engine traffic.

Anyway I’d love to hear from you guys about Sheffield City and if anyone has any pictures of the airport (especially the terminal) I’d be very grateful if you could upload them! 😀
