I dont mean to give disrepect to Airliner World as I do love them but to me this seems a bit of old news but I cant say 100% as them might have something not known by public.
If you look in current edition you will see that there is an advert at the back for the next issue saying “John Travolta has just
completed a world tour in his B707 in Qantas livery” (the 707 trip) Didnt he finished BEFORE the last issue was out???
It says it will fill us in on the details but I wait to see if there is more than what we know. to me what it seems to offer currently is old news and i think 1 month doesnt justify “just completed”
Hey i am just porbably be paranoid about nothing but wht do the first three letters of “news” make?

RE: Airliner World – old news?
I shouldn’t dwell in the backpages of the magazine but if you look at the picture of Nagoya airport you will see there is a CO 737.What is it doing there?Do CO operate feeder services to other cities or is it an airline like Continental Micronesia?Just wondering…

Mongu,
You’re on, you pick the topic but give me a bit of a chance. Keep off the economics!

Luke,
“I dont want to start an argument or anything so lets just forget about it….”
Oh go on, Luke, I haven’t had a good argument in ages! (Only kidding.)
Perhaps I was a bit harsh, i’m happy to forget about it.
Now, what were we arguing about?

RE: Airliner World – old news?
I know that, but kev said that he portrays himself as “the one, the only, the king of news.” but the two things are seperate and the banner goes ‘the one, the only, andrewm’ The King of news is a seperate thing.
Anyway, I think Andrew delivers plenty of news to the forum and I am on no-one’s ‘side’, I just thought that kev’s statement was a bit unfair.
I dont want to start an argument or anything so lets just forget about it….

RE: Airliner World – old news?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 14-11-02 AT 09:31Â PM (GMT)]TRAVOLTA’S WORLD TOUR
Celebrated film star John Travolta has just completed a world tour with his B707 in Qantas livery
First off, that page doesn’t actually say any of it is ‘news’. It’s merely features that may be of interest. Perhaps they could have re-phrased it by saying “recently completed” but they didn’t.
Regardless of how they tell us about the article, it’s still an interesting topic and probably one that many can’t wait for. If it bothers you, don’t read the magazine – probably the only solution.

RE: Airliner World – old news?
Andrew,
one would imagine that a magazine such as this has publishing deadlines and is filled with articles from various contributors who have to provide the article. I don’t think a month’s delay is something to complain about. I seem to remember that when you were involved with flaps it’s distribution was delayed on occasions.
You also portray yourself as “the one, the only, the king of news.”
Well, in the last two weeks you have posted just one news item. One could ask is the King’s crown slipping?
