RE: Pic Of The Day-Swiss A330!
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 05-11-02 AT 00:10Â AM (GMT)]I only started using the forum in December last year and so I wouldn’t have posted it on here, but if you go to http://www.carsurvey.org/air/review_2441.html you can see what I did write. It’s really quite basic because it was an uneventful flight – departures all on time, service on board was brilliant, fly time there was about 8h 15min and back was 7h 55min, aircraft out was a 763, not sure of registration and back was 763 G-OBYI. That’s all I could say, but the airport was great.
That airport looks a fair size, but it isn’t two floors as it looks from the outside, it was all on the ground floor and what you see is what you get – one duty free shop and a couple of seats and payphones. When you check in at an airport with these facilties and a flight about every 3 hours, you become stuck for things to do.
By the way, congratulations A330Crazy on approaching your 1000th post and also to KabirT on your way to your 2000th 😛

Very small looking, but at the same time smart and neat too. 🙂 Nice pic. Did you do a report on this flight/holiday T5?

RE: Pic Of The Day-Swiss A330!
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 04-11-02 AT 09:48Â PM (GMT)]Here’s another A330 photograph. Not worthy of being a pic of the day but it is certainly a nice shot.
It’s taken from inside MyTravel Airways A330-200 G-MOJO at La Romana in the Dominican Republic. I’ve been on that aircraft and I’ve flown to that airport, but I haven’t been to that airport on that aircraft. 😉 Confused? I am!
I’m not sure if the airport is new, but the terminal is and things inside are extremely limited and basic. The check-in area is open air – by this, I mean there are no doors at all but it is under cover. After doing this, you pass through a security check and then enter the departure lounge/gates area which are all merged as one. When I was there, there was my Britannia 763 and an LTU aircraft and the inside of the airport was packed. Literally every seat in the departure lounge was taken with no more than about 650 people from the two flights!
Arrivals is also simple, just one big empty room where you queue to get your visas and then onto passport control, baggage claim, customs and exits – it really is a tiny airport.
Anyway, god knows why I started blabbing on about all this..!!
