Sahara Airlines flight grounded at Patna for bomb scare:
PATNA: The Lucknow-Patna-Mumbai Sahara airlines flight was grounded in Patna on Sunday following a bomb scare, official sources said on Sunday.
After a message from Sahara airlines Lucknow office, the S2-222 flight was halted at the Jay Prakash Narayan airport, passengers were disembarked and a search was conducted, Deputy Inspector General (DIG), CISF, R P Thakur told PTI.
As soon as the message from Sahara office, Lucknow was received that bomb has been planted in the flight, the plane which was proceeding to Mumbai was stopped at the airport. All the passengers evacuated and search conducted to locate the bomb, Deputy Commandant (Security), Patna airport V Khamo said.
Following the alarm, another flight 809 Mumbai-Delhi-Ranchi-Patna-Mumbai which had come from Ranchi to proceed for Mumbai was also halted at the airport and searched, she said.
She said the Patna airport has been sealed for all the incoming and outgoing flights in view of the bomb threat.
City Superintendent of police O N Bhaskar, who supervised the search operation by the anti-sabotage squad, said after a thorough search by dogs and use of bomb detecting equipments nothing was found and the passengers have been told to board the flight for onward journey to Mumbai.
He said there were 87 passengers on the S2-222 Sahara plane that was halted following the bomb threat.
Bhaskar said after the hectic search of the flight, it appeared that it was a hoax call.

Seems to be an awful lot of bomb scares/Hoaxes lately, doesn’t there. The SIA during the week and now this one.
