Over the last few months we have heard considerable news on expanse in the Star Alliance with LOT, Spanair and Asiana all joining in the next few years.There is also the likely possibility of other airlines joining in the future.But my question is,are there any airlines looking or likely to join OneWorld in the near future?
Presumably, OneWorld would like another Eastern carrier like JAL or China Eastern (Though they are disappearing)We hear about Swiss joining,but because of slot problems at LHR,whats happening there?SNBA was also another rumour….any others?
And Skyteam….Air India?

Star is definitely still looking to China, and getting China Airlines, who has long codeshared with Lufthansa, to join.

Yes Skyteam has invited AI to join them. I agree that airlines hould also look more towards east….China, Cathay etc.
