RE: What kind of aircraft does the head use?

Must have been about 10 years ago Charles tried using a 146 as an off-road vehicle after misunderstanding the amount of tailwind component on landing. Reasonably minor damage. Game over for royal flying.

In Spain. Essentially Falcon 900 and the Royal Fleet include an ageing B707 which is about to be phased out to be replaced by a A310.

RE: What kind of aircraft does the head use?

The UK Monarchy has two BAe 146 jets and five smaller BAe 125.For longer range visits its likely that a British Airways aircraft will be chartered.A 777 was used Tony Blair’s trip to gather suppirt for the War On Terrorism last year and the Queen used an A320 (or A319?) on her trip to visit the Pope a couple of years, for example.
Were they UK not considering buying a A330 if I remember rightly?

RE: What kind of aircraft does the head use?

Prince Charles flies the BAe146 himself when he is on it. He didnt when he was flying back to UK when his aunt died. He flies it 99% of the time!

RE: RE%3A What kind of aircraft does the head use%3F

What Monster forgot was that the PM of our little Island down here also uses the Dassult 900D’s which are soon to be replaced by the Challenger jets. He also uses the B707’s for some trips, but now he maily uses the BBJ’s or 900’s

Give me coffee and no-one gets hurt!

Tyring one last time, but it’s a different picture, much nicer.

RE: What kind of aircraft does the head use?

Well, I was quite lazy in my first reply.

Here they are , I forgot the Falcon 900 and spoke about 707 instead of DC8: shame on me 🙁

RE: What kind of aircraft does the head use?

Brazil: our Air Force has a fleet just destined for VIP transport which consist of 2 737-200, 9 Gates Learjet 35A, 1 55A, 1 EMB-120 Brasilia, 6 EMB-121 Xingu, 1 HB-355 Esquilo (Ecureil) and 1 AS-532 Cougar. Our President has at his disposition also 4 KC-137 which were in charge of long-range travels till some years ago, when it was set an agreement for the use of its A330s in Presidential long-range travels. There were some speculations some years that Brazilian Air Force would buy some KC-10s, B767 or, even, the Argentinan Presidential aircraft (a B757) to replace ours KC-137s but nothing serious really happened.

Regards,
Junin

Formaly the Queen is part of the government and therefore she is a regular user, but the prime minister also uses it aswell as other members of the kabinet.

Nice isn’t she…..

RE: What kind of aircraft does the head use?

Here in India for domestic use they use a B737-200 which is maintained by the IAF. For overseas travel mostly a B747-200 is used but they are destined to be replaced with BBJ or ACJ.

RE: What kind of aircraft does the head use?

Here SAS has always been rubbing shoulders with the government and the royals but the new government that got elected a while ago actually have made a deal with Norwegian Air Shuttle to use their no frills routes on short domestic flights, and Sterling No frills between OSL and CPH.

Also they’re planning to buy a plane for the PM, it’ll probably be a business jet of some sort.
