RE: Ariana’s first A300.
Are there any to come from Lufthansa??? I heard somewhere that it would be American Airlines leasing a few 727’s and Lufthansa giving them some A300’s?

I was operating Saab 340’s into Stansted when the Ariana 727 was there. It was great fun for us as we were told to make a 90 degree turn direct Barkway immediately after take off to keep us clear of the incident. Great hooligan fun!!!

Just looked at that site about the recovery of Kabul Intl Airport. This surely has to be a potential pic of the day – Kabul airport at sunset.

RE: Ariana’s first A300.
Great pic of the A300.
Can someone explain to me what the situation is at the moment with regard to Afghanistan?
By this I mean, do airlines such as British Airways fly to the country, if not, are they going to start etc? What airlines fly to Kabul with the exception of Ariana?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 23-09-02 AT 04:04 PM (GMT)]Thanx for that web address Kabir 🙂 . What a state the airport was in. 🙁
Nice to see that parts of the world can pull together to help those in need, and help make a difference! 🙂
Whilst we are on the subject, what ever happened to the ariana 727 that was hijacked and then stationed at stanstead? What it scrapped or was was it returned to the airline?

RE: Ariana’s first A300.
And they will be serving Frankfurt and Istanbul with the A300.I’ve heard London was a possible new destination.Good to see an airline, which a year ago,was operating limited flights is slowly getting back to normal.I wonder what the state of Kabul airport is like?
