RE: Viscount SE-CNL
I have just typed the a/c number {G-ATNZ} into a search engine, and came back with this info:
Built by the Short Bros, in Belfast, this Britannia was initially ordered by Canadian Pacific Airlines. The maiden Flight took place on June 13th 1958. Sold by Canadian Pacific Airlines, CF-CZD was returned to the UK and purchased by Caledonian Airways. Placed onto the British register the aircraft was painted in the Caledonian Airlways livery and together with the name “county of Inverness” was marked up as G-ATNZ. Operated from January 31st 1966, the aircraft was re-named “county of Ayr” being operated by Caledonian/BUA from May 17th 1966. G-ATNZ was leased to IAS Cargo Airlines on March 10th 1971, and finally purchased on May 20th 1971.
G-ATNZ was withdrawn from service and stored at Biggin Hill, Kent, during late April 1972 and broken up and scrapped during June 1972.
Thanx for your help anyway guys.

RE: Viscount SE-CNL
G-ATNZ was baught by Pushpak Aviation based in Bombay, India. Pushpak Aviation seized operations in late 1980s and the aircraft is standing at a remote corner of the Mumbai Airport, along with a old Caravel which also belonged to Pushpak aviation. There is a flying Bristol in India which i saw in 2000 but no idea here that came from.

RE: Viscount SE-CNL
Hi Andrew, I’m afraid I don’t have much info on it. It was C/n 13396 and after use by Caledonian as “County of Inverness” it was withdrawn from service in April 1971 at Biggin Hill. Presumably it was then scrapped, but that’s a guess. Maybe someone else has more info.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 11-08-02 AT 05:39 PM (GMT)]Alright mate? This particular Viscount started out life with Philippine Airlines. In 1967 the aircraft was brought by Falcon Air.
Aircraft is now registered as SE-AAO, of Skyline Sweden Airways and is on static dispaly at Sweden’s Arlanda Airport, in Stockholm.
Below is a picture of the exact a/c when it was with Philippine Airlines.
Hope this helps. 😉
