RE: EasyJet Can’t Cope!
People Express comes to mind when you talk about over expansion. They offered cheap tickets across the Atlantic and on US domestic flights. In the end they were so popular and expanded so much that they didn’t have enough aircraft or enough room at their Newark base. They were later taken over by Continental.

RE: EasyJet Can’t Cope!
On a general note, over-expansion is one of the big reasons why businesses fail, ie. spending cash faster than it is being earned.
Maybe Easy are aware of this, hence the slow moving developments on fleet growth.

RE: EasyJet Can’t Cope!
The saying ‘writing cheques that they can’t cash’ are springing to mind. It would appear that they are trying to expand far too greatly earlier than is possible. Sounds a bit like ambition or…greed!

RE: EasyJet Can’t Cope!
They are victims of their own success,if people hear about delays and cancellations then EZY are going to loose customers to rival low cost carriers and also the traditional carriers. It seems they really need that new aircraft order soon.
