dark light

I could hardly of arranged it if I'd tried !

Armed with a freebie landing voucher, flew into Goodwood yesterday. Beautiful day and excellent vis. made even better. At fifteen hundred feet, I crossed the southern part of Thorney airfield and there appeared, at the same height, about one hundred yards bang in front, a Mk9 Spitfire coming from the direction of Goodwood.

What a thrill, to occupy momentarily, the same piece of airspace !

No problem at all. Vis was quite good. Anyone flying in that area; a very busy aerial crossroads – I live there – always keeps a very sharp lookout, hence no unpleasant surprises.

Very nice, but…did the Spit pilot know you were there?

It could have had a very different outcome had the events occurred a few seconds later.

Alan,

Ten feet in front would’ve been even better !

Very nice, as long as it wasn’t too close.
