Tonight’s north east news………
BE are being forced to axe their NCL-Brussels routes indefinately from sunday.
This is apparently due to impossible competition from SN Brussels airlines on the route. They have been able to set this unfair competition because of being subsidised by the Belgium Government.
Do we think this is fair? Obviously competition is competition and the company offering the lowest fairs will get the passengers…If BE can’t compete…well thats life. But, do we also see BE being subsidised by the government after 9/11?
