It has been announced that the legal requirement to hold an EASA licence to fly EASA aircraft as PiC, has been shelved for at least three years that is, until April 2018.
My opinion is, that after that time, national licences will have equal validity with EASA which, of course, makes perfect sense.
So, we can all continue to use our current national licences for another three years – at least.
