Saw the Channel 4 ‘Secret History’ documentary on the De Havilland Comet tonight, most interesting, one thing that caught my eye though was during the first commercial break there was an advert for the Comet electrical store!, cynical advertising or just a coincidence?

RE: Comet documentary
Very interesting, I taped it and showed it to my mum, who remembered the Comets crashing when she was small. I’ve never even seen a Comet in service, only in a museum.

I saw the program also, found it very interesting, such a shame more time was not given to the prodject, im sure British avaiation would be very different today. First plane I ever went on was a Dan-air Comet 4

RE: Comet documentary
yeah, I thought it was a very interesting programm. I wasn’t impressed with either de Havilland, BOAC or the MoS.
There’s a summary of the programm at the Channel 4 website at: http://www.channel4.com/history/microsites/H/history/heads/footcomet.ht…
