RE: MYT 757s

The other A321 is G-NIKO.

I can’t see them getting rid of the 757’s soon, they’ve just painted two in the new colours (G-PIDS and G-CCMY, the new one).

Most are in a hybird scheme with MyTravel titles and the rest of the plane Airtours, like G-YJBM taken today at EMA.

RE: MYT 757s

G-NIKO is the other one preston.MON are replacing there A320s already with A321s and maybe replace 757s.soon there should a based A321 in EDI instead of the A320.The A300s will be going soon maybe for A330s.somethin that will fascinate me is what will replace BY’s 767-300s and 757s and even the 767-200s.Will it remain an all boeing fleet

RE: MYT 757s

Hi all,

I can not see MYT withdrawing the 757 in the near future – the main reason been they bought a 6th last month! i’ve flown 2 in the last year G-JALC and PIDS. I know they have 2 based 752’s at manchy (JALC and ?), and PIDS rotates between Bristol in the Summer and Leeds in winter, with Leeds getting based A320’s and quite a few ‘w’ pattern flights (talk of 2 based MYT 320’s nxt summer).

Also MYT flies 4 A321’s of which i have flown G-JSJX in summer 99 to GCLP from EGCC – others off top of my head are DHJH, VOLH and….?

Below is a piccy of PIDS at NM in April in the new c/s with an A320 in the old c/s behind!

RE: MYT 757s

yeah they have quite a few A321’s I think.

Alot of the My Travel 757’s were former Airtours and Eastern Airlines aircraft which were surely manufactured in the 80’s and so could be getting on abit with the high-cycle sectors charter aircraft fly – wouldn’t make good financial sense to get rid of them though would it??

Saying that though, the 767-300’s are supposedly being replaced with A330’s so they may be replacing the 757-200’s with A320’s and A321’s to keep fleet/pilot commonality etc..

RE: MYT 757s

Hmmm… I’ve not heard anything about this. Surely they can’t withdraw such a fine aircraft from the fleet.

Airtours operate the A320, do they operate the A321?
