A lot more revealing information about the pilot and his history. The report states that the pilot texted a message before he crashed that he was in a spin. Now my opinion would be that a sane pilot would not be able to perform this operation and that he was probably considering this his last flight.

The photo suggests Tomahawk perhaps, but hard to tell – low wing, and bubble canopy though.
