What a wonderful aircraft. Travelled in it from Delhi to Singapoer, amazing flight. How many of you have been on this aircraft, what was your experience like?

RE: B777
I flew my first 777 with BA in January LHR to NRT.
It was pretty impressive, a very smooth flight with comfy seats and almost seamless take off and touch down.
The 747-400 return flight was just as good but probably edged it due to getting one of the window economy seats at the very back where the fuselage narrows. This meant it was a row of two seats and not three so could stretch my legs down the side for 13 hours.
Plenty of nice freebie snacks on both legs including pot noodles on the return!
A340 remains my favourite wide-body to date though. Flew Air France CDG – BKK return in 1999 which was superb. I was even able to have a couple of cigarettes in the galley areas!

I have been on a Thai 777-200 from Phuket – Bangkok. Which was a preaty nice flight. And I have also been on a BA777-200 return flight to Tobago from Gatwick. This flight was brilliant, and the new world traveller seats are brilliant.

RE: B777
I travelled on an American Airlines 777-200 from Dallas to London Gatwick last summer. The flight was long, but I was comfortable, the food was great, and the entertainment system was just amazing. I watched “I Love Lucy” (one of my all-time fav shows…and I’m a a teenager) as well as some movies and had fun with the in-flight map and statistics screens. It was a great flight that I’ll never forget. The 777 is a wonderful airplane!

RE: B777
Great jet indeed.
I used to fly it between CDG and SFO or LAX quite often on UA .
It’s a confortable plane and the entertainment system is great.
The funny thing is that the first time I flew the 777 was with BA on a night flight between Heathrow and CDG !!!!

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 14-05-02 AT 08:29 PM (GMT)]Well, when BA painted a jet in the colours of the British olympic team there was certainly more than one aircraft.
I saw at least two 757’s at LHR and travelled on one to AMS.
Some friends flew with BA from Lusaka to Gatwick last week; the route was recently downgraded from 747-400 to 777-200 and they said it was a lot more comfy. I checked britishairways.com and their site actually admits that 777’s have an extra 1 or 2 inches legroom in economy. On a long flight, that makes all the difference!

RE: B777
I’ve never been on one, but I’m not too keen on the thing. In my opinion it’s not a patch on the 767.
The England Football team are using a BA 777 to go to the World Cup aren’t they? Anyone any ideas how many aircraft were painted with “British Airways, the official England Team Sponsor” slogan? I saw one at Heathrow but am not convinced there is only one.
