The Flight of Ikarus is coming home following its record breaking flight from Goodwood, UK to Cape Town, South Africa and back to Goodwood. The pilots Richard Foster and Richard Bird flying G-SCMG, an Ikarus C42 microlight will arrive back at Goodwood aerodrome near Chichester, Sussex around Midday on Wednesday the 14th May 2014 (weather permitting).
There is an open invitation for anyone who wants to join in the celebrations to fly in on the day, especially if you have a microlight.
Expected already are well known aviators and possibly a few famous celebrities with a love of aviation; as well as local and national media. Help make it a day to remember for the pilots by showing your support for this amazing aviation adventure by attending and…don’t forget your cameras 🙂
