Who would like to see an airline safety league table?
I know the official line is “X Airlines is equally as safe as Y Airways” but I can’t be the only one to think there is a little too much ICAO propaganda flying around these days.
I wouldn’t assess airlines on criteria as blunt as “crashes” (after all, there is usually a cascade of reasons when there is a crash) but perhaps on a list of 50-100 points.

Well, every airline is already audited to ensure their accounts are true and fair. And there is an awful lot to check there, too.
So a safety audit regime shouldn’t be too difficult to set up.

Thats a lot of airlines to assess…and thery’re constantly changing. Its a good idea though.

What I was proposing was a safety audit of every airline to assess who safe they are on a variety of factors.

No feasible data could be built considering the number of crashes. Sometimes an airline has lots of crashes because they operate in hard enviroments. Weather, orography badly equiped airports…and so on. Only an airline is considered unsafe if many maintenance error occured or the crews are not properly trained.
