Hi guys and girls, I’m back from my trip!
I was severely disappointed with the leasing firm who are leasing out the GA-8 Airvan, the plane that I have chosen to start my venture with.
I still haven’t received a price list from them nor would the person answer the phone over the 3 days that I was down there in person. I’ve now decided to take the bold step and go straight up to a regional airliner turbo prop in the 19 seat class.

Ja, wont people of Australia hesitate a bit on baording a Russian a/c? You will be the first there to operte one i think.

Does anyone out there have any experience with the An-38? Either in the the flying in , piloting, or maintaining?
I really like to hear what the views are if they are worth the effort to get them down here or not.

Since I’ve decided to go straight into it, I’ve
decided to just get two AN-38-100’s and build up from
there, which is cool cause these planes are about
right for what I need, they are in the same class
catorgory as the DHC-6 Twin Otter, but carry more
people (28 as opposed to 19), so I’m happy with that.
Besides that Skytruck is a good little work horse with
a hell of alot of power and fuel to get you from here
to Mars and back, well not that far but you know what
I mean.
