VS008 LAX – LHR

Hello people, I’m now back.

My flights on Virgin I must say were just so wierd. On the return flight a passenger from New Zealand got bored, so he borrowed a virgin cabin-crew suit and just walked around serving people drinks.

Then to top it off, and male member of the cabin crew decided to demonstrate the goods during the duty free. He took off hsi shirt and went around selling duty free with only his trousers on and a clear shower cap with rubber ducks inside it.

The flight was in an A-340-300. I found the seats to be awful on your back, because they were too thin and didn’t have enough support in them. The entertainment system was very good, but the earphone socket on mine was loose so I have to share my dads using an adapter. But because of this, Virgin gave me £25 of complimentary duty free.

Overall it was an enjoyable flight. 8/10

The food was very nice. In economy we got a selection of 3 meals, of which one was vegetarian, one meat and a fish dish. I had a very nice pasta dish on the return flight. I was dissapointed though that on a 11 hour flight they only gave 2 meals, these were a full meal at the beginning of the flight, then a snack at the end.

Yeah, I was struggling to get comfy in economy class and about 2 mins later I had all the room I wanted, a glass of champagne (reasonable stuff too, Veuve Clicquout I think) in my hand and a bowl of strawberries on my huge arm rest. Then a stewardess comes over to me and asks what time I’d like my massage!!!

Nice one Shaunky. If only all the airlines would insist on moving me up to upper class!!

Anybody got any prices for virgin flights from LHR to JFK? just checking here first to see if anybody new?

Regards

Well, I’ll be travelling Virgin in early May and I’d like a mistake like that, although I think they only have premium economy on the MAN-MCO route.

I flew one of their A340’s (also MAN-MCO) and I thought it was excellent, probably my best flight yet.

Your flight sounded interesting to say the least

I once flew EWR-LHR with Virgin…

Was only travelling in Economy, but about 2 mins prior to push back a family trudged over to where I was sat – the check in people had issued two boarding passes for my seat! An embarrassed stewardess ushered me into Upper Class – now, I don’t mind mistakes like that!

LOL,I’ve always thought Virgin had a funner image than most airlines!Virgin are good at giving things out when things on their flights go wrong, when I travelled Virgin we weredelayed 4 hours so they gave an apology letter as well as 10% of our next Virgin flight!
What was the food like?
