Well , I guess that I forgot this one in the last “favorite jetliner” poll.
I has flown many times on Air Inter (acquired by AF) on domestic routes.( Here at ORY in 1986)
It was a terrific , reliable and confortable plane. I don’t think he had the success he deserved

thank you
No worry’s Paul 😮 , Thank’s Mate, I remember the feeling sometimes 🙁 , But being a mad history nut of our race, Raised by two MAD Brother inlaws for a while(Monty Python wackos, Nic, Nic, One Cross Only, And Every Sp*rm is Sacred. 🙂 ) Has left me quiet damaged, Throw in real brain damage from the M.S., And the effect that the V/work has had on my overall outlook now(eh,and darwin), And you pretty well have me 😉 , Long May The Lads Of The World Fly The Skys 😎 , Cheers all, Tally Ho! Phil. :diablo:

Sorry for jumping down your throat Stormbird, it’s just a touchy (and painful) subject for me.

Sorry Lads
Sorry anyone I offended 😮 , Post fixed now, I was not thinking clearly at the time, High temp and very little sleep for two days at the time of post 🙁 , Can come across a little tact less sometimes 😮 , Lost my Dad at 12 and many family members since, Watched many good friends and fellow M.S. sufferers die in the last 10 years, Part of my V/work is to just to sit with them in Nursing homes and have a good chin wag 😉 , Bonus if they can still talk back, The blokes want a bit of dirty jokes stuff  , And the lady’s seem to light up with a few simple complements(Can not say what some have asked me to do for them here, I said no thank you, But thank’s for the offer 😉 ), I get angry with some of the Relys of these people because they will not visit them, Saying to me, I want to remember them just like they were, To which I reply THEIR NOT DEAD YET 😡 , Most turn up at the funeral years latter  , Which really is far far to late to say goodbye 😡 , I have been to so many funerals now, That I have become some what removed from the impact of Death, Sort of like the bomber pilot hitting citys, Or the fighter pilot hitting an enemie plane, Seen heaps of people suffering loss of family life, Mind and body, You name it, I’ve seen the best come out of humans and the worse aswell, Everyone sorry again 😮 , Regards all 🙂 , Cheers, Tally Ho! :diablo: Phil.(Must crash, unwell bye, ” Gut Nacht”)

Classic aircraft and family are irreplaceable when they go.
I lost my father at the age of 21 to a road accident and I for one would give everything up I own to have just 15 minutes with him again.
It’s these sort of things that all the money in the world cannot buy.

Stormbird, you obviously have not lost someone close to you who was flying in one of these aircraft. The loss of the crew’s lives makes losing the airframes pale into insignificance.
Paul,
Yes I have to agree have lost to many good friends to accidents you never get over it.

Yes me TOO
Sorry 😮 , Sick and little sleep for two days when posted 🙁 , Mind and body becomes less and less connected, When having no sleep and a high temp, Wreaks havoc with the M.S., Did not mean to offend anyone 😉 , Plead temp insanity at time, R.I.P. all those who have died doing what they loved  , Cheers everybody, Tally Ho! :dev2: Phil.

I have a dedicated photo album, whenever an airplane is lost, I put it’s picture in there. It’s not even close to the true amount of airplanes I’ve either been on or seen that are gone and not all I’ve photographed do I have reg numbers for. I counted it a few years ago and the number was almost 40 airplanes. I really don’t sit around here counting anymore it’s too depressing, and I don’t think I can count that high. It’s a tribute photo album, and it’s done for the memories, like this thread, not for any morbid or sick reason. I actually haven’t looked at it in awhile, but it needs to be updated with the crash of the Bushmaster 2000 last week (the Ford Trimotor replica in Calif.)
