[updated:LAST EDITED ON 27-02-02 AT 10:55 AM (GMT)]Can any advise me please.
I am looking for an airband radio.
I want one which is portable and I also want to get a car aerial for it for travelling because I travel around europe during the summer. I would like to get a digital one where you dont have to use a tuner but just ‘dial-in’ frequencies on a keypad
I would like to get the aerial and radio for under £300 if possible.
Please advise me!!

RE: AIR BAND RADIOS
Hi Andrew,
I have a Radioshack pro-60 and as with EGNM’s scanner, it has been everywhere with me and has encountered no problems. Somthing simple such as this is all that you need.
Best thing to do is to vist a specialist aviation shop where thay could advise you on the latest models…specifications…PRICE…etc… They should be-able to give you the right radio for the right job.
Regards
Benair

RE: AIR BAND RADIOS
What are u loking for as in portable – handheld as opposed to box set? – I own a Yupiteru MVT-3300EU and it has been all over and it’s fine – i think u’d be ok with a rubber duck antenna (which comes as standard on most models) if you are refferring to airport visits
