People have been asking about Air-side passes. You can sometimes get them from small regional airports. If you write or phone up, you need to have an over 18 phone ideally as they have to go with you, and just get them to say that you are really keen on aviation e.t.c. and how you liek the airport and its your favourtie uK airport (butter them up!) then just simply ask.
I got mine for Belfast City on a week night as there is less chance of getting one on a saturday as tsat is the biggest schedule day!
Good Luck!

RE: Air-side Passes
You wouldn’t need an airside pass at Heathrow, just smuggle yourself in somehow. If the people that stole all those ££ millions the other day can do it, anyone can!

RE: Air-side Passes
I thought that reply was abit “conspicuous” – I really wouldn’t have imagined airports giving airside passes to just anyone wanting one!

RE: Air-side Passes
I don’t think it’s quite that easy. I operate from a major UK airport and don’t think airport security would issue an airside pass to anybody that didn’t need it for their job as their company has to provide all sorts of information and references before the pass is issued. Temporary passes are issued to contractors but they have to be escorted at all times.

RE: Air-side Passes
Yes, you have to fill in a 3 page form about why you wnat to visit e.t.c. and a staff member will always be with you at all times. But really thats it!
I don’t suggest you try this at Heathrow or Gatwick e.t.c!!

RE: Air-side Passes
Is it really that simple??? Surely you have to be cleared security wise or something, especially after Sept 11.
