I know that reporting news is Saab 2000’s job… but I’ve just seen this on Skynews.co.uk.
Plane ‘Disappears’
An Ecuadorean airplane with 92 people on board has been declared missing after losing contact with air traffic controllers.
The Boeing 720-100 took off from Quito’s airport at 3.23pm GMT bound for the northern city of Tulcan on the border with Colombia, aviation authorities said.
“What we’re talking about is it’s disappeared,” said Quito airport chief Pablo Lopez.
Seven crew members, a mechanic, an operations technician and 83 passengers were on board the flight, operated by Ecuadorean state airline, Tame.
Tame spokeswoman Toa Quirola said the flight between Quito and Tulcan should take between 30 and 40 minutes.

That is awful, I never heard about it, or saw anything in the newspapers.

RE: Wreckage found
No survivors, so 92 left dead in the wreckage. It crashed against the mountains, volcano, in Colombia.
The pilot was visually searching for the airport in extremely bad conditions.
