what do you all think of these new security taxes? I think it is about £7 per passenger for a return flight or something like that. Is it really worth it because it doesn’t seem to be having much of an effect at some airports, some people are still getting through security with knives and other weapons concealed in hand luggage.

RE: New security charges at airports
yes, I would also be willing to pay a mere £7.00 if I knew I was going to be safe and that every passenger was thoroughly checked before boarding and flight. But is this money really being used to bring in more security staff at airports?
In the US, I would expect they charge about the same as UK, if not less. We Brits seem to have a moral panic about just about anything and so, we’re probably paying more for extra security but not actually getting anymore security whatsoever!
(I used the word ‘security’ one too many times… sorry!)

RE: New security charges at airports
i think people will be willing to pay 7 pounds for any kind of security. Well some airports are not affected much…that means most of them are now having tight security…except a few.
