According to the D.M., the plane exploded in the air. The plane is probably G-SIMP. RIP aviators and condolences to the relatives. 🙁
The pilot seems to be the fifth owner of this plane, the builder of the plane being ‘Simpson’.

I’m amazed that any French policeman would know about ballistic chutes. That’s probably from my watching to much ‘Spiral’
Another sad day. As I recall the Jabiru has a pretty good safety record.

The French police seem to be laying a red herring as the Jabiru does not have a ballistic parachute system (AFAIK)!
