I wonder why only Easyjet is operating alow cost service from Dutch soil, we have such lovely airports like Rotterdam and Eindhoven. And we cost minded Dutchman would love to fly with Ryan Air, Buzz, Virgin Express or others.

Ryanair will be starting a service from Eindhoven to Stansted in April, twice daily

Well, Ryanair HAS announced a new route from PIK, but it’s not Eindhoven… it’s Oslo.
This may well be a smart move for Ryanair, as it’s the only flight to Mainland Scandinavia from Scotland.

RE: Holland
The fewer cheap airlines to use Brussels, the better. The slots should go to DAT or VLM, something to help all those who lost their jobs when Sabena went. I am flying with VLM this year, but only because DAT is so uncertain at the moment. I would never fly to Brussels, or anywhere else, with Virgin Express, Ryanair, Easy Jet or Go.
Fly with proper Belgian airlines.

hmmm..
There’s been rumours up here in Glasgow that Ryanair are set to announce a new destination ex Prestwick this week…
Could it be Eindhoven, in a bid to win some customers from KLM uk and Easyjet’s flights from GLA to AMS?

RE: Holland
Just heard that Ryanair are in talks with Eindhoven, so they may start services. Don’t know where to, but I’d guess Stansted and Dublin would be two destinations.

RE: Holland
I hope they do !In my neck of the woods, my local airport (Liverpool) is now carrying the most passengers from the Northwest of England to Amsterdam. The CAA figures for November show Easyjet (ex LPL) 32,990, KLM uk (ex MAN) 32,124 and BA (ex MAN) 8383. Easyjet has 44% of the passengers. This is quite satisfying as both KLM and BA never showed any interest in offering a service out of Liverpool. Just to add sort into BA wounds Easyjet now carry more passengers from the Northwest to Belfast than any other airline.

RE: Holland
Good question!!
I’d like to see GO operate from EMA to AMS in competition with the bmi ERJ-145 service, get their own back for bmi starting its own low cost airline just to try to get Go out of EMA.
Perhaps there isn’t the demand for more dutch flights, easyjet offer a few KLM uk operate in and out all day from most UK airports while KLM, BA and their franchises take up a lot at LHR and LGW.
Its interesting why they aren’t more flights into Rotterdam and Eidhoven, all dutch flights seem to go in to Shiphol, but I don’t think this is just true for flights from the UK, there aren’t too many scheduled flights from other countries either, are there?
