A note written by the 15-year-old boy who crashed a Cessna into a Tampa office building Saturday indicated he supported Osama bin Laden and that the act was deliberate, authorities said Sunday.
Charles J. Bishop, who took the plane on an unauthorized flight across Tampa Bay, died at the scene of Saturday’s crash into the
42-story Bank of America Plaza building. He apparently made no attempt to avoid the structure, witnesses said.
The Cessna 172, a 2000 model, is owned by National Aviation Holdings of Clearwater, Florida, according to Landings, a Web site that tracks information on aircraft.

RE: Florida flyer voiced support for bin Laden
Poor guy. It´s really sad being so mentally unballanced. I am glad he hadn´t killed anyone. I feel sorry for his parents.

The 15 year old was having a flying lesson, not his first. He was cleared to do a pre-flight check of the plane by the instructor, but took it off totally unauthorised and crashed it into the building.
The coast guard chopper tracked it and I think there were two military F-whatevers scrambled, but they were just taking off as the plane hit.
It was just very fortunate that nobody else was hurt.

nah he was going for a flying a lesson , took the plane and just crashed it. a costie chopper tailed him but it wouldn’t down a plane unless it had stingers or aim9 (costies don’t) like the israelis did recently to a similar plane.

I dont know for how much time the Cessena was airborne before it colided, but i dont understand, i read somewhere that it had entered restricted area and there was a coast guard helicopter after it, now i dont know if the chopper was armed or not, but if it was……what the hell was it dreaming about?? And IF it was not armed….why was it deployed??? A 15 year old boy was out there doing a solo flight in RESTRICTED area……USA is totally loosing it i must say.

A chilling reminder of September 11th,its terrible that someone who is an American who saw the devatsing events of the terrorist attacks can support Osama Bin Laden.

As I said on AFM, if that’s the case he deserved all he got, the main thing is that no innocent people were harmed.
