RE: where to meet at ZRH

Nope I was not. Sadly I only get to do scheduled flights with those lovely business passengers. The only plane I fly on is the AVRO RJ 85/100 which has the nickname “Jumbolino”.
Be prepared to pay approx 2 swiss francs to get on to the terrace and a bag and body search as well.
The weather is good here at the mo with plenty of sunshine.
Oh between the hours of 2pm and 4pm you may catch Thai airways 747 taking off. You can get good photos at the very end of the terrace next to the cafe.

Have Fun.

RE: where to meet at ZRH

ok, didn’t like ZRH at all…

there’s some building work going on now, so my flight was a from a bus gate.

After the bus got to Terminal A arrivals/Transfer, you go up a staircase, at the top of which is teh SR transfer desk… there was a long queue, and I’d already checked in, so I ignored it. I turned immediately to my left to follow the signs to my onward gate (I only had 40 mins), and was confronted with a long queue for teh metal detectors. After negotiating them, I was already in a lounge, which I assumed to be a transfer lounge. After a quick trip to the small (satelite) duty free, where I enquired about wider ranges, I was told I’d have to go back to before security control, so that was a no-no. Anyway, went downstairs from the lounge, and I was at the gate. So, I saw absolutely nothing.

Keltic, beware you don’t go to far to soon.

Have a good trip!

RE: where to meet at ZRH

SR and Qualiflyer group airlines use Terminal A, all other airlines operate from Terminal B.

see ZRH website at www.uniqueairport.com

I’ll try and see if there’s a meeting place, but I’ll only be there for 35 mins.

RE: where to meet at ZRH

Well I will be doing MAD-ZRH-SOF so I have to meet someone
doing BCN-ZRH-SOF. My question is to know (to tell her) if there´s a kind of meeting point close to the Spectactor terrace.
I don´t know where SR operate from (terminal). Does anyone know how to get there from ther arrivals hall, tranfer area, whatever. Suggetions will be appreciated.

RE: where to meet at ZRH

meet where?
Transfer area, or after baggage reclaim?

I’ll tell you on Monday, if Jumbolinoguy hasn’t said before, as I’m transfering at ZRH on Sunday (BSL-ZRH-LHR-GLA).
