RE: Airlines of the past

There was an airline in Finland, called Air Finlandia, that ALMOST got started… For a long time, it was listed in Flight Internationals World Airline Directory as having an A300-600 in order, but it never flew once…

RE: Airlines of the past

I wish Air Europe were still around. They were one of the best of the young British airlines and I used to fly everywhere with them. Dan Air is another one I miss too, as well as British Caledonian.

All three of these airlines were based at Gatwick, do you think that this airport is jinxed? 🙂

RE: Airlines of the past

Being a Canadian, I already miss Canadion Airlines and the blue goose. I always tried to convince my mom and dad to fly Canadian rather then Air Canada.

Also, although I never flew with them, RootsAir has already folded with a month of opening for business. Does anybody know of and airline that has folded in a shorter time?

I am also going to miss the little C-150. 🙂
