RE: Charles De Gaulle

Terminals at CDG are a euphanism.
AF have all of Terminal 2, that’s Hall A, Hall B, Hall C, Hall D and Hall F.

the TGV station is situated between terminals D/C and F, under the Sheraton Hotel. The RER station is at the same place (From Terminal 1, you have to take a bus). The Metro dosen’t go as far as Roissy from the City Centre, but with an RER ticket you can change as many times as you want in town.

Halls A-D are small (5 piers each), and pretty boring, but F is modern, spacious, and has a lot of big windows to see out of.

And a word of advice – take gate announcements with a pinch of salt, I got conflicting gate details from different screens.

RE: Charles De Gaulle

Never been there, but in the last 10 years, CDG grew considerably.
The Air France is a new one, with TGV (Bullet train) station inside, i think.
You also have a RER (Regional train) and / or Metro (subway) station there.

If you have to travel in Paris, take the subway!!! It’s the only cheap and quick manner to travel, coz Paris is full of traffic jams. You have for example 3 days pass (maybe also 5 and 7 days) that permits you to take suburb & RER when you want, as much as you want.

Enjoy your trip to this marvelous city, and don’t hesitate to take an hotel inside the city! The prices vary by city parts.

RE: Charles De Gaulle

I was interested to read your comments on CDG. I shall be going there next week (twice – arriving and departing) and I wondered the same thing as Kabir. My terminal is the Air France terminal, which is Terminal 2F. I hoped to get some photos and video, providing the weather is good.

RE: Charles De Gaulle

Well when I went last in 1996 I found (terminal 2a at least) to be very decrepit and drab. There are good opportunities however for photography when you are ‘airside’ in my opinion.

Paul.
