Flying from Dublin

I have this photograph showing my grandfather disembarking from an aircraft. It was probably taken in the 1960s, but I don’t know where. The caption just says he is returning from Dublin, where he would have been maintaining or repairing factory machinery. But it looks to me like the tail of an RAF Comet, so would they have been flying civilians from the Irish Republic at that time? Or is it a civilian airliner and I don’t recognise the livery?
