serial numbers for aircrafts

Could anyone in this forum help I am trying too get serial numbers for aircrafts and can not find them in boeing or airbus sites do you know where and how to get any info about this topic, if so please help as I am doing a little study and would be very grateful to any info from you guys look forward to any replys cheers everyone
