Sorry everyone, I’ve said this in the past and I’m gonna say it again! Why do BA use the slogan, “The World’s Favourite Airline”, I want to know who says they are the world’s favourite airline for a start?! Surely, there are several better airlines out there, many of which are of a higher quality than BA. I want to know if you think BA is the worlds favourite airline, if not, what is yours?

RE: is there a market for the 747x, is this design too old now ?
The 747X comments have been answered today!
Back to BA,. don’t like them at all, don’t like any airline where you get told off for pressing the cabin crew button to get a drink!
FLY VIRGIN, great in-flight entertainment, service and well everything.

B747 is a good aircraft but new millenium demand new designs. I don´t like the 747X, it´s a poor and cheap response. Unfortunately costs are shadowing innovation and most of manufacturers are always erlarging and shortening the same things making such strange aircraft like the B757-300. The 747 is nice with its present size. The 747X is too odd and artificial.

Just wondering if anyone agrees that the 747 design ( although modernised since it first flew)is a bit long in the tooth to make a 747x, does anyone think it will outsell the A380 ?

RE: BA – Really the World’s Favourite Airline?!
Don´t be so pesimist, there´re things which work quite well in the UK (Iam not British) and BA is not particularly good neither bad. It´s one of these airlines which is average and depends on the year could be good or poor, never excelent or really bad.
The service (quuality of food has deteriorated, crews tend to be
OK, external image is now bad, pilots and maintenance excelent and customer service poor (especially oversees). Rating it from 1 to 10 (top) just a 6.

RE: BA – Really the World’s Favourite Airline?!
I’m not anti BA, although the only reason I have criticised them in the past is because I care what happens to it. Now with Ayling gone, I feel the airline has improved and hopefully will go from strength to strength.
Quite a few people accuse BA of being aggressive. So what? This is the airline industry we are talking about, it is kill or be killed. I would certainly rate BA as one of the world’s best airlines. The A319 fleet based at BHX (as well as the franchise Maersk UK) run a very punctual operation and the service is better than the likes of the overatted tat that is Lufthansa.
Oh yes, and what is one of the most famous images associated with civil aviation? A concorde in BA colours, that’s what! I hope they continue to do well.

RE: BA – Really the World’s Favourite Airline?!
Jack, Sorry but if you study your comments, you will find that the southampton jersey route is infact operated by BA franchise company and not BA as we know it, furthermore if BA are the worst airline, why do they carry more international passengers than any other airline ?? nobody who is anti BA has answered this yet, as a BA employee, I admit our inflight service could improve a bit, but we are super efficient and well run and I am proud to be employed by an airline so highly regarded by other airlines.

RE: BA – Really the World’s Favourite Airline?!
BA are the world’s worst airline in my opinion.Last October the last ever Jersey-Heathrow flight flew because the route was unprofatable.Did BA take into account the Southampton route from Jersey which was unprofatable under KLM UK.Now under BA it is the second most popular route from Jersey.
