RE: lax

It’s a BIG airport, and the terminals are all different. The Tom Bradley Terminal is fine… modern, good restaurants, good viewing areas. Terminal 2 (NW, NZ among others) is OK, too. Delta’s is also just OK, nothing special. BUT…the United terminals (6 & 7) are still relics of the 1960’s (Wolfgang Puck Cafe excepted…). Awful vinyl flooring, grey drab walls … it looks like a hospital! Yeccchhhh.

Best viewing are some of the hotels and car parks in the area, on Century Blvd. F’rinstance… if you stay at what used to be the LAX HYatt, (can’t remember what its called now…Win-something or other, I think), get a room on 10th flr. or above on the runway side (southern runways). This overlooks the DElta maintainance area onto runways. You get great photos of A/C on their take-off roll. Alternatively, take your radio & camera to the car park at the back of the Sheraton and you get the A/C just about to touch down on the 2 northern r/ways.

Have fun!

RE: lax

I have flown into, and out of, LAX with Air New Zealand, and I love it. The viewing is excellent and the restaurants in Tom Bradley are better than those in Terminal 2.

RE: lax

Hello I have been to LAX and flown out with Virgin.
I think it is a very different, modern design and it looks phenomenol from a distance! It dominates the skyline.
Inside I think could be better kept but the terminal is esy to navigate. Why do you ask?
Regards
