RE: dangerous airlines
I flew by aeroflot a couple of times and I liked it and i can say that there are some airlines that are way much worse than Aeroflot.

I’m not sure how you came to your conclusions, but I would not be surprised if Aer Lingus was one of the safest. After all, it has a very small fleet compared to most other flag carriers, so the chances of one of their aircraft being involved in an incident are small when you compare it to a mega carrier with several hundred aircraft. I know Aer Lingus is also very good when it comes to maintaining their aircraft.
As for Aeroflot, well before the break up of the USSR they had thousands of aircraft, so there would be more chance of their aircraft being involved in an incident of some nature. Plus, some of the aircraft still in use are getting a little long in the tooth….

Quantas has never had a fatal accident…ever.
They do a lot more flying than Aer Lingus.

and everything even the greatest are poor some times and i still maintain that one 80 fatalities in 28 years is near perfect and the envy of all airlines!!!

RE: dangerous airlines
Hi! It all depends of course on what you call dangerous! They can all be just that if there is a ‘weak link’..Maybe you are thinking of maintenance as opposed to actual aircrew?I do not think for one moment aircrew deliberately decide to end it all!! In my book Garuda of Indonesia were reputed to be ‘dangerous’but the crews were charming…and always tried to keep alive!..That wqs many years ago in the early days of jets..Cheers..you sound quite young ..are you?

SINGAPORE AIRLINES
I must point out that if you go watch sky news now you will notice that SIA 747-400 has crashed in Taiwan.

RE: dangerous airlines
It´s completely unfair telling that aeroflot is the unsafest airline in the world. The number of crashes are similar to other airlines considered “safe”.

RE: dangerous airlines
How exactly did you come to that of the worst did you go by most crashes? worst service? what because there are many air lines which have never crashed singapore airlines for example and having flown on both singapore and air lingus air lingus has ##### service compared to singapore so i am very curious as to when thebook was written!!!!!!

ok, I’m not surprised Aer Lingus came off so well, but tell us what criteria you used.
