bmi-star here from Hong Kong!!

Good Morning, its Elgan here from an internet cafe in the lobby of my hotel!

Well its a sunday, hasn’t time flown!

As you know i flew here via Zurich on the Thursday afternoon. The MAN-ZRH leg was uneventful, sat right under those bloody noisy flaps on the ARJ, wather was good, other than that it was a perfect flight.

I then had a 5 hour wait, so popped into Zurich city to see it, and with the sun shining, it was hard to contemplate myself flying half way round the world in a few hours!

Then got back to the airport with 3 hours to go, and met up with the Chinese couple who sat behind me on the 1st leg!

The HKG flight was actually quite pleasent! I got HB-JMI, which is SWISS’ newest A343, and you could smell it 😀 I sat on 26A, and was lucky enough to get 2 seats to myself, which helped!

Then we took off. Now i know the A343 is a slow climber, but WTF!? It was worse than the ATP 😀 We had a nice meal, in which i pickd Bavarian Sausages!
As i fell asleep, i could hear some activity going on, as the seatbelt sign was switched on. I opened my eyes, looked at the moving map, and we were over Russia somewhere, when seconds later we slammed into the top end of a thunderstorm! I opened the window, and the lightning was very severe, so was the turbulence, with the wing bending like hell, and winds pushing us about! It was like this for about 20 mins. After that scare i fell asleep again, until brekfast came around 2 hours till landing over China.

Landing ws nice, e flew over the city its self, and landed on 25R. Haze was a big problem, and so is today. Touchdown was smooth, we taxied to the stand, wihich was 21, and before i knew it, i was on the excellent Airport Express train to Kowloon!

HK its self is mad! But i love it! I’m back home tomorrow, but i’ll be a bit sad in leaving. Tho to go back to Chep Lak Kok will be a pleasure, Norman Foster’s work at its best! There will be plenty of photos when i get back 😉
