The A330-200 by far, come on guys, I we wanted a plane that my brother could fly, we would ask for it. A plane has got to be complicated, not just anyone can fly it. The best cockpit by far is the B737-300/500, and the B757-200/B767-200/300.
I also like the Airbus cockpits, but they look to clean. But If you want a lane that you have to fly stick and rudder, then nothing can beat the Trident, or BAC1-11, aah

Speaking of 777’s, did u read the article about them in the May issue of Airliner World? I thought it was really interesting! Taking you through the whole flight from the cockpit was a great idea. I learnt alot from reading it. They certainly seem to incorporate some advanced technology.

The 777 has a bigger payload but a shorter range than the A330. My favourite one out of the two is the A330 because it visits Birmingham with Emirates.

some good points, but in saying Boeing have never come out with an elegantly designed a/c since the 727, ain’t you being a bit unfair? of course it’s you right to judge, but the 777’s slope on the cockpit roof? those massive engines strutting forward! it’s a beast of a machine. then there’s the 747-400 and now the 767-400 with the new shaped wings. but the A330-300 is sweet too mate, no arguments there.

Well I think that out of boeing and airbus AIRBUS WINS ALROUND bacause they are nice to look at also nicer to travel in and a well better design around I think reply!!!!!

still fucking around trying to decide which is the better aircraft. As someone has said in the past if one of em were better then only that one would sell.

I agree that the MD-11 is a lanky peace of #####, although i think the 777 is the best looking airliner boeing has made to date. Airbus i like the looks of the A-319.

I disagree with the comment made concerning Boeing not making any elegant aircraft since the 727-200. In my opinion, the 757-200 is the best looking aircraft Boeing have produced in years.

I certainly prefer the B777. Although I think the A330/340 Have more elegant wings, they look to much like real busses! I’m really a fan of the 777 because of his size .

Sorry mate, but the MD-11’s ugly as ****. If you want to include a tri-engined A/C, the L-1011 Tristar’s much more aesthetically pleasing.

Visually: I believe the A330-300 is the finest looking A/C ever built by any manufacturer. Visually, not a “wrong” line anywhere. In 2nd place would be the A340-300 (the -200 versions of both these are too short). My 3rd place goes to McDonnell-Doug. with the MD-11. Boeing haven’t produced a visually “elegant” design since the 727-200. Nothing wrong with Boeing’s current designs, but nothing especially right with ’em either. Functional.

Flying In: Little to choose between them. But I agree, there’s nothing like the sound and feel in the cabin, of the 777’s huge engines (RR’s esp.) powering up for take-off. Only one thing, tho’… I have found the A330’s I’ve flown in to be much colder in the cabin – freezing in fact, whereas the 777 has always been a more comfortable temp. Doesn’t seem to be “climate-based” either. Happened in S.E.Asia as well as Europe. Anybody else have the same experience??

Have you heard the GE90 on full thrust take off…What power! I like both of these widebodied twins, but the A330 has a curvier look about it which appeals. The 777 is a nice looking bird, much nicer than the 767.

My final verdict then? I like them both equally.

I don’t mind either there both good aircraft. I actually fly the Boeing 777 with British Airways, but I must say that like the concorde and the boeing 727 that I have flown, the yoke gets in the way when you are trying to read maps on have something to eat. So the A-330 for pilot preferance and the 777 for comfort.

I think that the A330 (-300) is better. Only thing where 777 is better is range. By the the way, who will be the first 777-300 operator in Europe?!

I’d rather travel in an A330, but the 777 is nice to look at.

I have flew on 777’s and i think that they are really good looking airplanes. The 777-300 has HUGE engines they look real cool. However, i really like the A330 cos it of its length, engines and those wingtips. When it comes to choosing between the two, i thinks its a dead heat. Regards

Personally i must prefer the Boeing 777. I think it beats the A330 by far espically as the 777-300 really does take the mik against the Airbus

the 777-300 is the world`s most stylish airplane. If I`d have to like an A330 it would have to be the -300. Come on, there`s nothing as cool as a looooong airplane. Remember the stretched DC8`s…. the 777-200ER is a bit pricier but offers more range, comfort, bellyhold capacity and seats than do either one of
the A330 variants

Right, Why should we always be compering Boeing Vs Airbus all the time?. It´s a question of tastes, philosophies and so on. If one was better than the other in all senses, it would be only one to be sold.
