Following the success of last years event the ‘GREAT NORTH FLY IN’, will take place at Eshott Airfield, Northumberland on the weekend of 19th/20th June 2010. The event will include Microlights, Light Aircraft, Autogyros, Paramotors and Powered Hang-gliders. Both LAA and BMAA are most welcome.
The event is designed to appeal to everyone who has an interest in aviation.
The concept is to go bigger and better this year and is to get as many flyers of whatever aircraft to attend the event, and to have a lot of fun.
We hope to have a variety of interesting aircraft large and small
All profits will go to the “HELP FOR HEROES” charity. Last year we raised over £1,700 on the day for this well deserving charity.
Storm Smith (Eshott Airfield Owner) has kindly offered a no landing fee for the weekend and we hope to raise some money for our charity supporting our troops wounded/maimed and disfigured on operations in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
Attractions will include the following;
Beer tent Bar and BBQ
Military Vehicles
Vintage Cars
Live Music
Spitfire and Messerschmitt 109 Cockpit Simulators
Cockpit Displays
RAF Eshott Historical Display
Raffle/Auction
Camping
Fuel runs available (Mogas)
Avgas – available on-site
Paramotors can take off from Stanton Airstrip (6 Miles southwest of Eshott), we should be able to take your tents over to Eshott by vehicle if required etc.
This is a great opportunity to visit “The Kingdom of Northumbria” one of the most beautiful counties in England, steeped in history and with one of the most impressive coastlines boasting a multitude of castles, Holy Island and of course our very own Roman Wall. Bring your tents, stay the night and have a great time!!!

Spit and 109 cockpits
Nick, the show trailer for the sims is now in use. It is easier for me to run it within the trailer then I don’t need to unload the cockpits/put up a 10ftx 10ft marquee. It is 20ft long by 7ft wide if you have the room.
