Great North Fly In "Kingdom of Northumbria"

Following the success of last years event the ‘GREAT NORTH FLY IN’, will take place at Eshott Airfield, Northumberland on the weekend of 19th/20th June 2010. The event will include Microlights, Light Aircraft, Autogyros, Paramotors and Powered Hang-gliders. Both LAA and BMAA are most welcome.

The event is designed to appeal to everyone who has an interest in aviation.

The concept is to go bigger and better this year and is to get as many flyers of whatever aircraft to attend the event, and to have a lot of fun.

We hope to have a variety of interesting aircraft large and small

All profits will go to the “HELP FOR HEROES” charity. Last year we raised over £1,700 on the day for this well deserving charity.

Storm Smith (Eshott Airfield Owner) has kindly offered a no landing fee for the weekend and we hope to raise some money for our charity supporting our troops wounded/maimed and disfigured on operations in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Paramotors can take off from Stanton Airstrip (6 Miles southwest of Eshott), we should be able to take your tents over to Eshott by vehicle if required etc.

This is a great opportunity to visit “The Kingdom of Northumbria” one of the most beautiful counties in England, steeped in history and with one of the most impressive coastlines boasting a multitude of castles, Holy Island and of course our very own Roman Wall.
