Alan Bales flies his Boredom Fighter ( G-BMZX) out of Priory Farm. In September this year he took it over to Wales and did some formation flying with the UK’s only other Airworthy Boredom Fighter G-BNAI . Below is a link to an image of them in flight over the Bristol Channel

Stressed (ultimate?) to +8g maybe, but this aircraft is non-aerobatic. You cant even spin it!

I cannot rememeber where but I read a flight test on them and aparently they are quite fun to fly though I’m not sure I would want to if I had a licence. Oh heck who am I trying to fool? yes I would. I’d fly anything apart from hot air baloons and weight shift microlights.
Oh, how I echo your last comment! There was some reference in another thread here, because until then I had never come across these aircraft. They just sound like great fun, and I hope to see them somewhere this year.

The photos were taken this year about september if I recall at Hardwick and after a brief conversation with Mr bales he did mention the photo call he was going to do where you see the 2 planes air to air in the first post.
These must have been added to give some sort of pattern trim to make the aircraft not look out of place with one another.It is nice though to see a different shape and sound in the air and it would be a bonus to see it chucked about a bit.:rolleyes:

I imagine it was +8 as even -3 or 4 is uncomfortable enough which is why I have the greatest respect for aerobatic pilots. Apparently negative g is far worse than positive g I guess that is because you can do things to offset some of the effects of positive g but not negative.

Couple of shots from Hardwick of this great little aircraft and as for flying I recall Mr Bales saying during a quick chat that it was stressed to 8g and cant remember if that was neg or plus but I bet there arent many that would liked to be chucked about with that little number in mind which ever way it was.:rolleyes:
