Children In Need?

Chris Evans – remember him? – is tipped to take over Children In Need.

Chris Evans is being primed to follow in the footsteps of Sir Terry Wogan by presenting BBC flagship charity show Children In Need.

The TV presenter, 50, is being closely watched by BBC bosses and is expected to replace Sir Terry.

A source said: “Despite all the negative press Chris has been getting he is still very popular, one thing people can’t take away from him is that he is brilliant at his job.

“BBC execs would love him to replace Sir Terry, they think he can do it.

“It just depends what happens with Top Gear.”

The new gig is a huge show of support for Chris who has been accused of being “out of control” and becoming “more volatile” than his predecessor Jeremy Clarkson.

One of his former colleagues Lisa Clark said he was “a control freak who thinks he can trample over everyone”.

Utter cretin Evans has not had a very good time in the media recently. Donuts around the Cenotaph got him headlines, reports that he enjoyed being in control (dur, who knew?) and bullying his staff (so, not unlike Clarkson, then?), flashing his tackle or going totally commando during rehearsals (which he has apparently admitted), who might not be getting on too well with his main co-presenter, who apparently had ice water tipped into his trousers by Jimmy Fallon (erm, riiiight), commented that he didn’t understand why Clarkson was sacked anyway (showing off his sensitive nature) and now has released a publicity trailer that had received loads of negative comments from YouTube viewers (obviously not Evans fans).

That Chris Evans.
