A woman has been taken to hospital after been hit by a passenger sliding down an escalator at busy Tube station.
British Transport Police have launched an investigation after the 70-year-old suffered injuries to her arm just after 7am on Thursday at North Greenwich Underground station.
Two ambulance crews attended and treated two patients, taking one woman to hospital, a spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said.
I guess it must have been the bit between the escalators since you couldn’t slide down the steps, but it has always struck me that this slopey bit looked rather suitable for some crazy idiot to slide down, and now some crazy idiot has seriously injured an old woman.

The bits between the escalators have notices/obstructions on them to stop that sort of thing. Obviously doesn’t deter the determined though.
