HMS President, which was painted up in 2014 in a pseudo dazzle camouflage, has been moored near Blackfriars Bridge on the Embankment since its arrival in 1922. Part of the construction of the Thames Tideway Tunnel is to take place where HMS President is moored so it will be towed along the Thames to Chatham for a bit of TLC until a new berth on the Thames can be found for it. In its way are five bridges, Blackfriars, Millenium, Southwark, London and Tower Bridge. Only one of those, Tower, actually opens to let ships through so HMS President is having to have the funnel and wheelhouse removed to get under the other bridges. The move is due to take place on the Saturday 5th February at 02.00hrs.

Is that Friday the 5th, or Saturday the 6th ? I take it you mean 2am Saturday morning ?
