VAC All-Hallows Rally – 25th Oct

A very prudent decision Low’n’slow. I nearly ran out of control authority on finals in to 22 due to the turbulence. It’s been a helluva year for winds this year hasn’t it? Strong and crosswinds from odd directions. Oh well perhaps 2009 will be better.

Sorry I couldn’t be there. But I don’t think that I or GAISA would have been too comfortable in the gusts!

Clearly what I need is an Airtourer!!;)

My pleasure, I always enjoy the VAC events. We would have had 5 Airtourers but the weather in the North-East and Wales respectively meant two of our members had to cancel.

I was the Mummy styled one. Andy was the Red faced devil and my sister the witch. The pumpkin was my old man.

It was good to see three Airtourers and three Ercoupes.

Oh and Steve – I’ll treat that with the contempt it rightly deserves 😀

Which “monster” were you? I arrived about 1145 in my Airtourer G-AWVG and after a very bumpy trip I needed a coffee so I didn’t hang about in the parking area. It was a very pleasant day despite the weather but what happened to the Jodel that went up on it’s nose prior to takeoff?
